Sheryl Hough gave her final description of the fun we will have at the annual Holiday Auction on December 18, when our meeting starts at 7:00 AM. We each should bring a wrapped gift/prize/object and attach a note that prompts desire and competitive bidding. Our fund-raising goal is to exceed last year’s mark of $4,000. Raffle tickets will also be sold to fill someone’s stocking. We are encouraged to bring a guest to see us at our best!
Char Weber added to her invocation by rallying our enthusiasm for our annual GALA to be held on March 14 at Hazeltine. Sponsors and Rotary volunteers are needed to make this a success.
Joe Hoppe has been motivated by his 50th birthday to invite us to the Chaska American Legion on Saturday, 12-13-14, at 7 PM for an intimate party with several hundred of his friends! (No presents are necessary.)
Kevin Eide reminded us to invite Irina to our seasonal events so she can get a broad picture of this holiday season in Minnesota.
Tom Croft invited us to hear and meet Rotary International President Gary Huang at a very special “Light Up Rotary” event on January 8 at the Saint Paul Hotel. Tickets may not be available if you wait too long. Check your email for a message from Diane Confer to access the reservation web site.
NEW MEMBERS INDUCTION. Following opening remarks by Bob Roepke that stressed involvement in our community, Dan Keyport introduced Joe Sutcliffe, and Gary Hardel introduced Susan Steenhoven. Caroline Ness was inducted last week, so we finished our year with great additions!
