Charitable Giving
The Rotary Club of Chaska values the work that local organizations accomplish on behalf of our community. Once a year we conduct our charitable giving process, providing grants to local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. We review each organization’s request and evaluate it using a fair and equitable assessment process.
Organizations requesting a grant must complete an application and submit it to us via email or USPS. A committee reviews each request. We will award grants to selected organizations in March of each year.
Guidelines
- The request must align with at least one of Rotary International’s six areas of focus:
- Promote peace
- Fight disease
- Provide clean water, sanitation, and hygiene
- Save mothers and children
- Support education
- Grow local economies
- Protect the environment
- The organization must benefit individuals and/or families that work or reside in or near Chaska.
- Requests will be accepted year round, but we will review requests and make distributions once each year in March.
- Organizations are only eligible to receive funding from the Rotary Club of Chaska once every 12 months.
- An application must be completed for all requests of $500 or more.
- Requests for sponsorships or other types of assistance that are equal to $499 or less will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- Funding requests that benefit an individual, a political organization, or a religious group will not be considered.
- All applicants will be required to submit proof of their 501(c)(3) status.
