Announcements
Dan Keyport let us know that our club is supporting New Generations student exchange again this year. A Korean student in engineering, Alan Doo, will need 4 hosts for one week each, from June to July The purpose of this program is to broaden the experience of the students and help them practice English and learn more about the Minnesota culture. Let Dan know if you are interested.
Amanda Bloomgren challenged acting president Mark Omann to give his best Char Weber imitation “WOOHOO” then she reminded us to sign up for the Chaska Rotary Gala. In case you have been asleep for the past two months, the event will be on April 8 at Hazeltine. 🙂 The theme is Super Heroes, and the proceeds will benefit Auburn Manor, St. Gertrude’s Rehabilitation, and the Marie Steiner Kelting Hospice. Auction donations are managed by Dave Melchert. The Wall of Wine will need our cash or bottle donations, and Dan Keyport is the guy to see.
Vic Benetti announced a STRIVE meeting will occur next Wednesday, March 15.
Vic also wanted everyone to know that Al Grover is recovering and is able to get back to normal activities, including golfing (in March nonetheless!)
Finemaster: Ron Cossette
Ron fined the whole room, except for those working on the Hooked On Books event. Then he picked on Dave Pokorney, Greg Anderson, Wayne Ward and others. Acting President Omann thanked him for his efforts, and everyone applauded.
