Tom Croft shared a “thank-you” card from Marnie Wells, the CEO of the Campfire organization at Camp Tanadoona:

“Dear Chaska Rotary Members, Thank you so much for your generous donation toward the Rotary sponsored cabin at Tanadoona. Our partnership is very important to us! Service Above Self!”

Tom also shared a note from Dr. Tim Sebenaler, the recipient of the Klein Award that was presented at the Gala last month:

“Dear Chaska Rotarians, Thank you again for selecting me for the George C. Klein Service Above Self Award. I share this award with all who volunteer their time, talent and treasures to better serve our great community. Your organization is a great blessing to our community. Best wishes to you all in the coming year!”

Tom also asked us to remember to support Christmas in May, on Saturday, May 9. He has tickets to allow members to attend the Rotary District Conference the following weekend, on May 16, at the Radisson Blu and Mall of America in Bloomington.

In another District 5950 announcement on the district website, we are asked to support Polio Plus by attending an afternoon Twins baseball game on Saturday, June 20, against the Chicago Cubs. Joe McHugh blew the horn to announce the Spring Concert of the Minnesota Valley Community Band, on Sunday, April 26, at 3:00 PM in the Chanhassen High School auditorium. Vaughn Williams, Shostakovich and Gershwin tunes will welcome in our warmer weather.
