Greg Kummer introduced Officer Julie Janke to explain this year’s Heroes and Helpers event. Every year our club donates funds to support the efforts of Chaska Police Department and the local Target store to provide holiday gifts to those in need. The staff at area schools, along with Carver County Social Services, provides the police with names of families who might not be able to provide gifts for family members. With support from Target and its employees, children are able to pick and wrap gifts for members of their families. This event will occur on Dec. 12, with 30-minute time slots assigned to families and volunteers.
Many of those in our Zoom call each immediately pledged $100 or more for this program. If more members want to contribute ANY amount, they should contact Greg Kummer.
