Martha Brannon, founder and Executive Director of the His House Foundation and Resource Center, shared information with rotarians about the new facility located in the Moravian Church in Chaska. The Foundation provides basic necessities such as clothing, bedding, personal care and basic household items, for those people transitioning from being homeless. The Foundation collaborates with the Abundance Food Program to gather excess food from partnering restaurants and other generous sources to provide food to those in need. Nearly 4,000 pounds of food a month are distributed. His House Foundation has no paid staff, and aside from material-related grants, does not depend on state or government funding. Brannon’s $50,000 budget is based on donations. For more information, visit http://www.hishousefoundation.com.
