Our main recipient for 2019 was New Beginnings. New Beginnings, located in Chaska at the East Creek Family Center, is a comprehensive interagency program supporting mothers and soon to be mothers in their teens and their families.
Students create a plan for healthy pregnancy, safe childbirth, and an effective plan for adoption or healthy attachment with their children. Students also learn independent living skills and develop a productive career plan for self-sufficiency. Child Care is available on site.
The funds that we raised will go towards:
- Summer monitoring
and Career Exploration
- Scholarships and mentoring for post-secondary New Beginnings graduates
- Continue service learning and community giving
- Support drivers training
- Technology update – 20 new Chrome books and charging cart
