Tent and volunteers needed
Char Weber asked for a few more volunteers to staff the Rotary Wine Tent at Carver’s Steamboat days. She is searching for the club’s banner and tent, which were used at River City Days.
Welcome Isidora, our exchange student
Our exchange student from Chili – Isidora Tiska gave a brief update. “Isi” immediately charmed us by reflecting on her first days in Minnesota – the city, her family and the weather: “I like it SO much!”
One Rotary Summit – District 5950
At a time when so few people seem to be pulling in the same direction, Rotary is a rare organization that focuses on getting things done across racial, political and gender lines. As Rotarians, we see a problem and we do our best to fix it, proudly working together with other Rotarians, focusing on the things we have in common rather than things that separate us. On Friday, Sept. 15th, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Earle Brown Heritage Center, we have our first all-district gathering of the year, the One Rotary Summit (ORS). It is free to all District 5950 Rotarians. ORS is the District’s most unique training session of the Rotary year and this year will focus on bringing together Membership, the Rotary Foundation and Public Relations around the goal of increasing female membership. A small group of facilitators will lead us in working through a case study that helps us think outside the box to develop tools for District 5950’s
“Attract and Engage Toolbox.”
